Pita was pretty easy (tho not ALL of mine puffed up and separated 🙂
yes, yes, lots to cook soon!
we haven’t tasted the bacon yet, most stuff in this class goes in the freezer for our final presentation, the summer sausage and the brat were pretty darn tasty tho! Â anxious to see the terrines when they thaw out. Â its SO much fun!!
yes, tomatoes, peppers (no ghost, but I DID get a scorpion), tons of herbs, 2 squash plants, some Swiss chard, ok I enlarged it a bit!
thanks!  I’m not eating a ton, but certainly a lot more than I did before!  I ate one of those plates after they were graded!  🙂
LOL!!!  my eclair was too big (because they broke last time when I tried to fill them) and my cookie too small (because I gave her the smallest because she likes them “overdone” IMHO!   can’t wait to find out where I fall on the tour and when we can cook together again – I might even bake with you 🙂
Half of it is in the freezer now! Â along with half of the chocolate with raspberry mousse!! Â looking forward to that visit! Â Â Let me know! Â Â btw I’m booked full time with school through the end of the year (12/18) except for a week off between each semester (first week may, last week august I think) though you can be here while I’m in school, I just might have to do homework! Â LOL

Carrie – that was exactly the case – looked bad but tasted SOOO good (even the slightly underdone cake – tasted kinda like a gooey brownie!
Grant – I never had to have a strategy to eat sweets before – will try that! Â as avoiding them seems to be nearly impossible!
🙂
Julia, in her asian mood – 2 of those dishes were really good!
oh, we will bake!
I forgot to mention, the sauce is a blackberry coulis and the creme brûlée has real vanilla beans (scraped from the pod)!

They WERE!!!!  I didn’t think baking class would be so FUN!  I’m even eating a little (not a sweets person! 🙂
I agree! coming soon (to a theater near you!)
🙂
Vnot doing much for my waistline (I’m learning to eat and crave sweets – NOT good) but it’s WAY more fun that I anticipated!
They actually WERE! Â and pretty simple – I can send you the recipe!
Hey Ellen – thanks!  and yes, I started last semester (was actually signed up last spring and it was cancelled due to COVID, as was the summer semester) and I’m taking 12 credit hours this sem – hence the studying ’til midnight – crazy! but I LOVE it!  tho folks don’t quite understand that I have no desire to work as a line cook when I graduate 🙂 (met my co-op advisor this past week).  I just love learning and love food and I want to be a better cook!  and I’m having a blast – 2 LABS (read: in the school kitchen cooking for 5-6 hours) this time – cooking and baking. YUM!
