Thai Immersion….. or market research?

ok, in order to perfect this soup (so I can share with David VD), I identified the top rated Thai restaurants within a 30 minute radius and purchased Tom Kha Gai soup from 3 of them (and dinner :-). – strangely enough they were quite different!  one was sweet and the only ingredient was chicken (middle), one (from a place I like) had scallions (which I didn’t like) and the one on the right was the best (and their pad Thai yummy too) but I’m not sure I would call it amazing – tho VERY good.    hmmm.  the research continues!
