Last night was Jambalaya making night (as I know Kim loves it, and I promised to share) – thanks to my early morning grocery run. no frozen okra (which I like because it’s easy), so I used fresh for the first time in a while – it was quite pretty when cooking :-). Glad also that I get to share a bowl with 2 of the book club gals (Carrie and Jenn) – as I had served them a very inferior version last month when I hosted – basically an inferior & cheaper ($18!) version of crab meat gave it a slightly fishy taste, while they were gracious and ate it, I felt it was completely ruined. Lesson learned! ALWAYS buy good crab meat. (I did return the container to Whole Foods and got a refund!). This batch is great!
