So last night I made Tom Kha Gai soup again, this is the 3rd pot and I think I have a pretty good recipe going at this time. might do one more and experiment a little with the spice before typing up a something to share with you (it’s not the traditional color with the oil Chris suggested – tho I love the flavor!). I research, I test, I tweak and eventually you enjoy! pics below. Yum!
Got a text from the neighbors last night (after dropping some soup off on the porch), I’m quoting verbatim as this was a really sweet compliment! “Smells delish! We just ate the bolognese. So good – Joe might leave me for you” (keeping in mind these folks are in their 30’s :-). YUM. I love it when people really love and appreciate food I’ve shared with them! they are a great audience 🙂 that recipe was really good! I might have to just post the link!
Carnitas in the oven now (a first time attempt) and my house smells heavenly!.. then my walks (pups are walked separately until Lucy gets through leash training), a little more news (DeWine) and have a happy hour with PA peeps at 5! (and hopefully one with Jen and Chris after) a nice start to the w/e!
