Thank goodness, I managed to work almost up until the Sunday night before Fall semester started this week and was able to catch up all that I could.
And Monday started all over again – this semester has the greatest lineup – Culinary Nutrition (SO cool) and International Cuisine (even more EXCITING!) – add to that biz law and a couple other classes and I’m busy (but “normal”) again and so happy with the things I’m going to be cooking!
First week is China – and I’ve already tried the spicy green beans (yum!) and improvised a rainbow trout I bought whole and sautéed last night for dinner. you’ll be hearing from me again much sooner than 3 weeks! thanks for reading!
Gan Bian Si Ji Dou (Chinese spicy green beans) – these are so easy, why have I never made them before??? they are poached in oil before stir-frying – so that’s why they are wrinkled!
Beans, Chinese style steamed rice and rainbow trout with garlic, ginger, sesame oil, garden toms and banana peppers
Soft Shell crabs with lemon caper butter sauce
and first garden pepper collection and my okra plant (a first!)
Bon Appétit!
