Week 2 CUL 102 and 105
Cooking –
Tuesday we made Boeuf Bourguignon (you MUST say this in your best Julia Child voice!), and chicken fricassée – both French dishes, with a side of rice with peas and maple glazed carrots (the latter were surprisingly good!) I hated that I wasn’t allowed to have color on the chicken (I was told Escoffier would NOT approve – make HIM the scapegoat, will you!), tho the sauce was pretty tasty – and I thought the ratio of pearl onions to beef was too high in the stew – but otherwise, it was all good! sent little tastes next door and have been enjoying it all week!
Boeuf:
forgot to take a pic of Chix before I got home – so this is a lame one!
Baking –
Well, my friends have already seen THAT stash on my personal FB page, but the cookies were all SUPER YUMMY!! I fear this class may not be a positive influence on my life – I have enough vices as it is! 🙂
and for fun, some sandwiches from last weeks rolls!
