ok, this week I just watched too many cooking shows and got the urge for red meat (not something I eat a lot of), thinking of Elli Cloots, and her fabulous Russian themed dinner party, I opted for a good old fashioned beef stroganoff – but upscale, of course! read some recipes and went “loosely” for one that used cognac (which I didn’t have, so I used brandy) LOL! added ingredients from others, as usual – note the marked up recipe in the pic below (my typical first draft of a recipe, unless it’s just a post it note – hence my need to actually document what I really did soon after!). also found some amish butter noodles and I must say it turned out really well – made and ate it thurs. night and had leftovers last night – did not disappoint!
